Project Overview

Kingdomly is a platform solution for NFT generation and monetization. It handles the end-to-end generation of NFT assets for those who would like to deploy them. In this project, I am focusing on revamping the current UI and user flows as a UX designer along with working with 5 developers.

Goal

Goal

Goal

I aim to pinpoint the core problem responsible for users' challenges when using our creator and mint features, with the intent to address issues within our current primary user experience for launching NFT projects. Additionally, my goal is to devise a solution that streamlines the process, enabling users to create their own NFT collections more easily and within a more efficient timeframe on our platform.

Solution

Kingdomly Creator : This is a No-Code NFT platform that simplifies the NFT creation process by handling technical aspects like asset generation, IPFS uploading, and contract generation. It allows creators to focus on their creative vision without requiring technical expertise. It supports deployment to Ethereum, Polygon, Avalanche, and Arbitrum.

Solution

Kingdomly Mint : This is a permissionless platform that supports royalties and transforms NFT engagement. Users can integrate it into their platforms using provided documentation, unlocking traditional NFT trading and unique NFT rental capabilities. The marketplace enables various essential functions for both Web2 and Web3 developers, including creating listings and claiming earnings.

After tons of reviews and discussions with the team on the existing Kingdomly platform, we came up with several changes that would greatly improve our overall user experience. Here are some of the before and after changes we made during this ongoing project:

  1. Login page update

The previous login page (top) was very blank and had a lot of white space. It also does not provide much context to describe users on what exactly they are logging in or signing up for. Therefore, in the updated version (below), I give more context to users by adding some images and text next to the login section.

  1. Visuals and flows update on the main NFT generator process

This is the most important flow of this whole project, and in the previous version (top), we received feedback from our users telling us the interface was complicated to use or follow. This is why in the updated version (below), we developed a more straightforward design and better visual hierarchy to let users have an easier time navigating this whole flow.

  1. UI revamp on the creator feature landing page.

Throughout this project, My team and I came to the conclusion that we needed to update the UI of the Kingdomly creator's landing page as well; therefore, we came up with this more minimal and simple look for the landing page.

As you can see, the previous version (top) was very cramped, and there needed to be more space between each sentence. The updated version (below) has more room for each element, providing a better focus and CTA for users to navigate this page.

  1. Redesign the product landing page's feature section layout

Having a good presentation of product features is crucial, so my team and I made this slight change here with the feature section on the Kingdomly creator's landing page.

The previous version (top) was very cluttered, and some users told us they couldn't figure out what it was about; therefore, in the updated version (below), we organized all the essential features into these smaller UI cards. We also changed the header copy slightly to make it more straightforward for users to understand immediately.

Don't be afraid of trying new thing

It was my first time working on an NFT/crypto project, and I'm so grateful for the amount of knowledge and skills I developed in this project as a UX designer. With the rise of blockchain technology, working on such a project has always been on my to-do list; therefore, this first-hand experience working with many experts in the industry really helped me gain some significant insights into what the market and users are looking for. Even though it took me a while to learn and understand all the terminology, but I'm glad I did.

Moving forward

If I could have more time, I would like to spend more time working on better feedback responses when users successfully launch or purchase their NFT. I noticed many NFT platforms aren't that user-friendly for those who just entered this field. It would significantly improve their overall experience if I could develop better UI or visuals to make users feel more about the ownership aspect of NFTs, Especially with the theme of Kingdomly, which reminds me of some RPG games like Elder Scrolls and Assassin's Creed. Overall, there is plenty of room for creativity.
